SPCF
Staff:
Pastor James & Tammy Harper –
Senior Pastor
Pastor
James Harper has been ministering at Stony Point Christian Fellowship
since 1981. It would be difficult to know Pastor Harper outside his
relationship with his wife, Tammy. They met at West Coast Christian
College in Fresno, CA and married in 1978. He grew up in Tennessee
and she in Idaho. They have a son, Trevor, and a daughter, Aubrey.
Both are married to wonderful spouses. Pastor Harper and Tammy are
also blessed with 5 fabulous grandchildren. Home and family are a
very important priority to the Harpers.
Pastor
Harper and Tammy have been partners in ministry from their first
church service in Santa Rosa in June of 1981. This is the first and
only church that Pastor Harper has served. His commitment to Sonoma
County is deeply rooted in the friendships and relationships he has
built through the years. From the days of the church baseball and
basketball teams to the fulfillment of his dream to have a viable and
successful basketball league for elementary and jr. high school kids,
Pastor Harper’s love of sports has truly been instrumental in the
development of his ministry and the growth of the church family.
Tammy has been there all along the way to fill whatever role was
needed. Today her welcoming smile is usually the first thing you
would see coming in the church doors on a Sunday morning.
Pastor
Harper has a unique ability to bring the Scriptures to life and make
them apply to daily living. His leadership and guidance through
quality teaching and preaching is held as one of the most significant
blessings God has bestowed on this church family. He is also an
insightful counselor and has a compassionate heart for those who are
finding their way to Christ.
Pastor Sandi King – Worship /
Music Ministries
Sandi
King spent her early days in Dayton, Ohio, and after graduating from
High School, moved to Tennessee, where she attended Lee University
graduating with a BME in music and education.
This
opened the door to many ministry opportunities such as directing the
music choir for the North West Bible College in Minot, North Dakota,
becoming the Administrator for a Christian school in Georgia, and
eventually accepting the invitation as Music/Worship Director at
Stony Point Christian Fellowship in 1996.
These
days, Sandi is kept busy as Administrator for Pleasant Hill Christian
School in Sebastopol; Music/Worship Director at Stony Point, and as a
faculty member of Patten University in Oakland, where she
leads/directs the Patten Singers. Apart from her varied ministries,
the gifted and vibrant Sandi enjoys spending time with her two
children and five grand-children.
Pastor Mike Edlin –
Administration and Adult Ministries
Pastor
Mike followed an unusual path to get where he is today. After a
couple of years of college in his home state of Texas, he joined a
Christian repertory theater company in 1984 called Covenant Players.
More than just a traveling thespian, Covenant Players gave Mike the
opportunity to serve as a full-time missionary all across the United
States and twelve other countries around the world, including
Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, India, and Pakistan. After fifteen
years on the road, Mike and his wife Asta (a Covenant Player from New
Zealand) settled down in Santa Rosa.
With
Asta’s loving moral and financial support and encouragement, Mike
completed his Associates and Bachelor’s degrees and went to work in
the Human Resources field, which clearly prepared him for the
position God had planned for him in church ministry. He still works
part-time at his job with Lucasfilm while Asta continues to help
support the family with her job at Sonoma County Superior Court.
Pastor
Mike and Asta, with their son Sean (born in 2003), have served in
various capacities at Stony Point Christian Fellowship since 1998 and
feel truly blessed to be a part of the SPCF family.
Pastor Rosalynn Harper –
Children’s Ministries
Rosalynn
grew up in church in Bakersfield, CA. She always felt like ministry
would be a part of her life. She attended Patten University where she
met Trevor Harper and first heard about Stony Point Christian
Fellowship. She graduated in 2002 with her B.A. in Liberal Studies.
She then went on to receive her California Teaching Credential in
Elementary Education from Point Loma Nazarene University. During her
time at Point Loma, she kept in touch with Trevor and in January of
2004 she was offered the position of Children’s Pastor at SPCF. She
accepted the position and moved to Santa Rosa in February.
Rosalynn
oversees the ministry to the children from nursery age through fifth
grade. Her goals are to be an extension of the family and partner
with them in teaching their children the Word of God. She also wants
to provide the best learning environments for children, so they will
grow in faith by knowing, experiencing, and accepting the genuine
love of Jesus Christ.
Pastor Trevor Harper – Youth
Ministries
Pastor
Trevor grew up at SPCF and has been involved in its many ministries
from a young age. After high school he attended Santa Rosa Junior
College and volunteered in the youth ministry. It was during this
time that he began to feel God calling him to be involved in
full-time ministry. After much prayer and searching, Trevor went to
Patten University where he pursued a degree in Youth Ministry. Once
he completed his degree, he gladly returned home to become the
full-time Youth Pastor. In February of 2004 Trevor’s college friend
Rosalynn joined the staff at SPCF as Children’s Pastor and the two
married. They now have two beautiful children, Malachi and Abigail.
Pastor Trevor loves being involved with ministry to Jr. and Sr. High
School students. His greatest goal is to help them grow in their
knowledge and understanding of Christ.
Wendy Dandridge – Office Manager
Prior
to joining the staff, Wendy Dandridge came to Stony Point Christian
Fellowship with her husband, Scott, and their two daughters, Whitney
and Cathryn, in May of 1999. Wendy initially visited to see a Sunday
evening drama performance, came for Sunday service the following week
with her family, and they decided they had found their new church
home.
Since
joining SPCF, Scott and Wendy were blessed with a son, Jackson, in
2005. Jackson comes to work at God’s house every day with mom.
Wendy
loves birdwatching, playing games, spending time with her family, and
reading.
